At Little Orchard Homestead, we know that a true homestead dog loves to dive into brush, mud, and tall grass—which can lead to ticks, fleas, and itchy skin irritation. The Protector Paws Bar is specifically formulated to provide deep cleansing, intense skin relief, and a powerful natural defence against seasonal pests.
We’ve swapped out the harsh synthetic detergents found in commercial liquid washes for a traditional, deeply nourishing base of pasture-raised beef tallow and raw Shea butter. Tallow closely mimics natural skin lipids, meaning it thoroughly cleanses your dog's coat without stripping away vital protective oils. To supercharge this bar, we’ve added therapeutic neem oil, a traditional homestead remedy celebrated for its natural insect-repelling, antibacterial, and antifungal properties. Paired with finely ground colloidal oatmeal, this bar instantly calms inflamed skin, hot spots, and bug bites.
Combined with thick-lathering coconut and castor oils, this solid bar cuts through thick fur and tough odours with ease. To mask the earthy scent of neem oil and keep bath time peaceful, we infuse this bar with a bright, comforting blend of Sweet Orange and Lavender essential oils to naturally refresh your pup and soothe bath-time anxiety.

🐾 Directions for Use
Making bath time simple, one paw at a time:
  1. Wet thoroughly: Soak your dog’s coat completely with warm water.
  2. Rub to lather: Rub the shampoo bar directly onto their fur in a circular motion, working up a rich, thick lather from head to tail (avoiding the eyes and inside the ears).
  3. Massage it in: Set the bar down and massage the suds deeply into their coat, letting the neem and oatmeal sit on the skin for 2 to 3 minutes to maximise the soothing and pest-repelling benefits.
  4. Rinse clean: Rinse your pup thoroughly with warm water until the suds are completely gone.
  5. Homestead Tip: To get the most out of your handcrafted bar, allow it to dry completely on a draining soap dish between baths!
